About Carriage Place Homes

Carriage Place Homes is a family-owned home builder in Fort Wayne, founded in 1983 by Ron Godfrey. His son Jeff Godfrey now runs the company as President and builder, and Jeff's son Logan, who joined in January 2019, is Vice President. The company builds custom homes, spec homes for sale and villas, and also takes on remodels such as room additions, four-season rooms and basement finishes.

Its plan library has 36 designs: 27 single-family plans from 1,470 to 2,541 square feet, in one-story, one-story-with-basement, two-story and two-story-with-basement versions, plus 9 villa plans from 1,444 to 1,780 square feet. Carriage Place says it will customize any of its plans or design a new one. Plan prices aren't published; the builder quotes them on request.

The builder lists 12 subdivisions where it is currently building, including Cascata, Silverstone and The Ranch at Broad Acres in Northwest Allen County Schools, Valdosta, Mercato and Sycamore Bluffs in Southwest Allen County Schools, Eagle Rock in East Allen County Schools and Bear Creek in Auburn. It will also build in other open subdivisions or on a buyer's own land. In early October 2026 its site listed 14 homes for sale, 2 move-in ready and 12 under construction, priced from $339,900 to $849,900.

What Sets Them Apart

Customizable Floor Plans

36 published plans: 27 single-family designs from 1,470 to 2,541 sq ft (one-story, one-story with basement, two-story and two-story with basement) and 9 villa plans from 1,444 to 1,780 sq ft. The builder offers to customize any plan or draw a new one, and prices each plan on request.

Build on Your Own Lot

Beyond its 12 listed subdivisions, Carriage Place will build in other open subdivisions or on land you already own. Most of its community pages list lot prices, minimum home sizes, utilities and a plat, which helps when comparing lots.

Family-Owned Since 1983

Founded by Ron Godfrey and now led by his son Jeff (President) and grandson Logan (Vice President). Two project coordinators help keep the day-to-day details of each build moving, and the company also does room additions, porch enclosures, garage additions, basement finishes and outbuildings.
